A Bit About Us

The Ovation team is lead by Brooke Smith, our lead designer, planner, and coordinator.  Brooke comes from a background of teaching junior high and high school theater and has been with The Ballroom at I Street since 2019.  She has coordinated over 40 weddings all at The Ballroom.  She also serves as their social media manager.  She jokes that she never knew teaching high school theater would prepare her for a career in wedding planning so well, but she is grateful in the skills she has developed to manage details, have an eye for the aesthetically pleasing, and most importantly, loving people.  Joining her team is her husband Bryan who also loves people, building creative wedding decor items, and is quite the romantic himself.  He manages the rental items the team offers.  When Brooke isn't spending her weekends doing this work she loves, she soaks every minute she can in with her two lovely daughters and husband.  

The team has some incredible staffers on board who have dozens of weddings under their belts and are eager to please and serve.  We are so grateful to be supported by our staff team that truly care about their work and aim to offer exemplary service!
