There are only a few emotions that match the way it feels to have someone stand in honor of you.
It's respect. It's regard. It's support, awe, love, gratitude. This is how we feel at the end of your special night, when we stand in awe of the day we've just experienced with you. When we've dreamt up everything you hoped it would be and made it come to fruition, we stand. It's the reason we do what we do. We are about details, yes. But even more, we are about people. And when we send you down the aisle and watch your loved ones stand in support of you, we can't help but feel overwhelmed with love and gratitude for the gift of this work.

Where to begin? We’re not even sure we have words that can fully describe the amount of gratitude, love, and appreciation we have for Brooke! We had a long engagement (year and a half) and Brooke met with us each month leading up to the wedding. From the start I was nervous because I didn’t know what to expect—as a newly engaged bride, I had no idea what I was doing or needed to do in preparation for a wedding! But Brooke took us both along this journey, held our hands, and paved the way for us! In preparing for the wedding, she took SO much off our plate and made the entire experience relaxing and carefree! We never had to worry about whether something would get done or having to follow up because Brooke already had it covered!
We can’t emphasize enough how much EVERYONE needs a Brooke in their lives, not just as their wedding planner, but also as a friend. There aren’t enough words in this world to describe how wonderful she made our day for us! Memories we will have for a lifetime. We would give anything to go back to that day to relive it all…. And that wouldn’t have been possible without Brooke. To wrap this up, I’d like to note a few of my favorite things about her:

She’s hardworking — will do whatever it takes to find you what you need, and get it for you!

She’s loyal — you will never have to worry about her dropping the ball, not thinking of you, etc. because that’s just not who she is. She’s incredibly selfless and trustworthy.

She helped stretch our budget to the max — pulling in things/ideas I didn’t even think were possible because she know how to manage the $ and tell us what we needed here/what we didn’t need there/etc. A wedding planner mastermind!

She’s FUN!!! Bonus points for having a planner who knows how to have a good time!

Our advice to engaged couples everywhere: hire a planner. And this is coming from a couple who is budget-conscious. More specifically, hire a planner who you really like. Brooke made both wedding planning and the day-of as seamless as it could be, and brought our vision to life.
A wedding is (hopefully) something you only do once in life and something you have no idea how to plan by yourself. It’s not like anyone has experience planning their own wedding, so it is so worth it to have an expert in the area. Brooke makes it her mission to become the expert in what your wedding needs. The things you don’t think of, like where to rent linens and tableware…Brooke’s got it, and she’s got the vision in mind. She’s so well-connected to vendors in the area, she knows just what will work for your style and your price range. The day-of, you don’t have to worry about anything besides getting ready because she’s got it all.
The first meeting with Brooke is all vision-focused: What are the most important elements to you, do you have Pinterest inspiration photos, what’s your style, what’s your love story, who are you as people…etc.. Each meeting gets more and more detailed, and more and more fun. Brooke gave us the genius idea of making a date night out of every planning session by going out to dinner and drinks and reveling in the excitement of planning your perfect day. What I loved most about working with Brooke is that she cared about us as people and had such a down-to-earth personality. She really went above and beyond what we were paying for and we appreciated it so much. It wasn’t just a transactional relationship, but one filled with genuine passion for the project.

"A Standing Ovation For Brooke
When I got engaged I was overwhelmed with choices, decisions, and visions of what my wedding day could be. After seeing The Ballroom at I Street and hiring Brooke as my planner, I felt an instant relief. I knew I was in good hands! Brooke took the muddled Pinterest vision of what I had accumulated, a conversation with my fiancé and me, and her magic wand and created the wedding of my dreams! Planning felt so daunting to me but Brooke made it fun and exciting! She is so hard working, organized, and incredibly thorough. She listened to what I wanted, ran with it and involved me in every aspect without overwhelming me with choices and decisions. Even when I threw her the curve ball that I would be giving birth just a couple months before the wedding, she was supportive and encouraging! "One of the best decisions I made during the wedding planning process was hiring Brooke! SHE IS AMAZING! I planned as much as I could on my own, but I came to a point where I was too overwhelmed to not get help. "To say that our wedding would not have been possible without Brooke, is an understatement. We initially met Brooke 2 years before our wedding while touring our venue. Since my husband and I were living in Chicago, it was incredibly important that we find a dependable wedding planner who could not only help us understand the entire wedding process but also help make our dream wedding come to life. "We truly cannot say enough good things about Brooke Smith! We hired her to do a full wedding plan for us. From the very beginning of the process, I could feel that Matt and I were in great hands with Brooke. Having Brooke by our side for our wedding was the BEST decision we made! I wasn't sure I wanted a planner at first as I knew I wanted to be very involved. We hired Brooke to be our month-of coordinator and she was amazing! Brooke was so genuine and passionate about the work she does for all of her weddings and truly made our experience more memorable.
We also hired Brooke to do our florals about a month before the wedding because our other florist fell through. For being relatively new to the flower game, she blew me away! Brooke truly made my small ideas come to life and was very informative about all of the flowers when selecting different options. Friends and family were OBSESSED with our wedding flowers and it was all because of Brooke.
